Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be taken to our secure server (256 bit encryption) to complete the order process.

We accept secure payments via the following payment service providers: 'Global Iris' and 'PayPal'. If you'd prefer not to pay online, please contact us - we will be happy to process your order over the telephone.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake, assuming the goods have not already been despatched .

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Risk of loss of or damage to the products shall pass to the customer on delivery. Ownership of the products shall not pass to the customer until full payment of the purchase price of the goods and of all other amounts owing to Thermosense Limited has been made.

We reserve the right to decline any order which you place in circumstances which may include, but which are not limited to, the following situations:

• The item which you have ordered is not in stock or no longer available.
• We are unable to obtain authorisation for payment from you.
• We identify a pricing error on our website.
• You fail to meet any of the criteria which we stipulate for eligibility at any point throughout this website.

Certain services (e.g. Royal Mail) are only offered for order totals not exceeding a certain amount.

For non-UK countries we offer a UPS Standard service. If you are eligible not to pay VAT you will be given the option to specify this during checkout and enter your EU VAT number.

Please Note: For UK destinations not classed as mainland (e.g. Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Wight) UPS delivery costs are considerably higher than the offered standard rate and timed deliveries cannot be guaranteed.

All orders are carefully packed, protected and double-checked prior to despatch from our site. Each shipment contains a delivery note and invoice corresponding to the original order. Export shipments are charged extra at cost and will be agreed before despatch.

Delivery Schedule
We will do our very best to despatch your order within 24 hours of receipt. Our normal office hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:30 GMT. Orders received before 15:30 GMT will be processed and despatched the same day. Orders received outside of these hours (including weekends and bank holidays) will be treated as the next working day.

Schedules for the delivery options we offer are as follows:

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and rectify the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

Back Orders
If an item is not in stock, we will back order it for you. You will be contacted with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges
If your billing address is within the EU then Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current UK rate will be added to your order. If your invoice address is outside of the EU you will not be charged VAT (you are given the option to choose this during the checkout process). Any VAT rate applied, and amount of VAT charged, will appear during the checkout process.

Our checkout process pages are secured by GeoTrust SSL, providing up to 256 bit encryption, thereby offering the highest level of encryption and security possible. This ensures communication between your internet browser and our server is private and secure. All products are guaranteed to function correctly on delivery and be free of faulty workmanship. Any products considered by us to be faulty will be promptly replaced, at our cost. Unless otherwise stated by Thermosense Direct, the lifespan of the item(s) cannot be guaranteed. The limitation of our liability is strictly limited to the value of the product in question.

Returns Policy
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days (from date of receipt) for a full refund, excluding the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.

A completed product return form must be included with all returns. Any unauthorised returns received without a valid form will not be opened or handled and may be disposed of after 21 days of being held in quarantine. Our product return form is available here.

You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should use a traceable postal service and take out enough postal insurance to cover their value.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way.
